To help me help you faster, please provide the following information if you are a new tax client.
A copy of your most recently filed tax return (if possible)
A copy of your Picture ID (driver's license or state issued ID preferred)
If you have dependents and you cannot provide a previous tax return with those dependents on it, then some kind of proof you can claim those dependents. (i.e. birth certificate, adoption papers, etc.)
Your most current address information
The best number to call or text you at (and please let me know if you like texts or emails versus calls)
A valid email address where we can send your documents for electronic signature.
If you are self-employed, I would need a summary of income and expenses for each business AND the business information like EIN, business trade name, business address, etc.
All tax documents related to the tax years we are filing (i.e. 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099R, 1099-G, W2, 1099-B, 1099-K, 1099-DIV, 1098’s, etc.)
Anything else you think might be related such as an IRS Identity Pin letter (if your identity had ever been stolen and you are given a PIN each year for filing).
If you anticipate you will receive a refund and wish to have it direct deposited:
Provide your routing and account number for the account where it will be deposited
Indicate if the account is a savings or checking account
If you owe additional taxes, we will contact you and go over your options for payment. Please make sure we have valid contact information to reach you.
